Nanaimo Yacht Club (NYC) Sailing School is a non profit organization promoting competitive and recreational sailing. 

NYC runs courses in dinghies that cater to youth ages 5 - 18. Our Sail Canada certified sailing school is active throughout the spring, summer and fall running our junior programs such as youth race team and our summer sailing camps.

All are supported by Sail Canada certified coaching staff following Sail Canada guidelines.

NYC junior members can use our fleet of Club, owned Optimist, Topper & 420 dinghies which are stored on the docks with direct access to Nanaimo harbour.

We are currently getting ready for the 2025 Summer Season and will be launching registration on April 1st.
